May Update
This May as has begun unusually cool with a little more rain and winds, while we still enjoy plenty of spring flowers. We were recently able to host a lovely group of German volunteers who decided to stay in the country despite the war and continue to serve and work with the disabled in various institutions. April Update
Thanks to the two-week ceasefire we are getting some much needed rest from the war. Today, on Yom haShoah, we are commemorating the Holocaust and its victims. Last night, many survivors and their children told their stories in traditional small events around the country called "Zikaron beSalon" - "Commemoration in the Salon." Pessach Update
We hope that we will be able to have a quiet and happy Seder Night on Wednesday instead of spending too much time in the bomb shelter under incoming missiles. We are happy we have been able to provide help for almost all of our families with food parcels, shopping vouchers or financial support. Thanks to our little food store we were able to reach even more families and give them a hand in their Pessach preparations. Chag sameach - happy holidays!

March Update
In the midst of the renewed Iran conflict and frequent siren-interruptions of our day-to-day life, we continue to serve the community in Beit Shemesh with food distribution from our little store house. With Pessach approaching, we also receive increasing requests for food vouchers. We are also very happy to be able to support some young women with scholarships for their academic studies. February Update
We continue to feel the economic stress on the Israeli population: many are coming to us for financial support and food donations. We've seen cold and rainy days in Jerusalem lately, but thankfully, the sun never stays away for long!

We are looking forward to the festival of Hanukka which is happening early this year. The smell of fresh "Sufganiyot" is already filling the streets. On the other hand, a new report has just concluded that over 1.18 million children in Israel do not have enough to eat. About 41% of Jerusalem area families suffer poverty. November Update
The needs in Israel are ever increasing as prices keep climbing. Despite the current ceasefire and things calming down around the war, more and more individuals and families are struggling to make ends meet and our food vouchers are in high demand.

Throughout the holiday of Sukkot we were able to help so many families with food vouchers and other personal assistance to make the holidays more enjoyable. The holiday was even more joyous with our hostages finally coming home.
